“How I spent my summer vacation” by Allan Haverholm, age 33
There is something else about the reading -ahem- materials one finds in cabins and summerhouses. Generally speaking, it is the kind of trash you wouldn’t want to be caught reading anywhere else.
Crime, sci-fi, speculative science, romance, and the lowest of brows in humor are regular features those places; sometimes in comic form, even. Shudder!
Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be blogging about some of the stuff I’ve read while holed up in a Norwegian cabin.
Keep your eyes peeled for Modesty Blaise! Rip Kirby! All sorts of Wild West crap!
Oooh, Rip Kirby. Love it.
