MAXI was made while I was at school and, like Sortmund, made to spite the elitist teachers who could see no future in comicking. I was offered an opportunity to have en exhibit at the library of nearby Fredericia, and since I have long been opposed to hanging originals meant for print, I started plotting and plannning this pantomime.
Basically a coming of age-metaphor, the story is simple enough to last only these six poster-size pages. Since this was a show with mostly casual visitors, I knew I had to have a lot of eyecandy; experimenting layouts, expressive drawing and, oh my - colors.
Although I was being trained as a commercial artist at the time, my sense of color left much to be desired, and it was only through using Photoshop and the benevolence of the mighty CTRL-Z that I started dipping my toes in those waters.
So - an early, experimenting piece. Be gentle with it, please.
